Will wordpress post can be made from mobile with opera mini ?. Yes. This is the post from mobile with opera mini. Opera mini scales much more than i have expected. Cool ! So on the move blogging is fundoo?- somewhat coz even with T9 i can feel the pain in the hands and https is out. But the thrill of blogging on mobile is great.

Agile Messenger | Skype | Spokn…

The other day when I first tried Agile Messenger it took a hell lot of time and never connected. A diagnosis by itself showed that the phone doesnt have any IP based connectivity. The basic plan of GPRS (from Airtel it is charged 5 Rs per day) is WAP GPRS. Though we are able to browse every site and check even my yahoo mail through Opera Mini
Agile will run only in Web GPRS( Airtel uses Mobile Office as the access point).

After switching over to Mobile Office access point Agile started and it’s really a breeze. It smoothly connects to Yahoo im, ICQ, AIM and for GTalk it gave “unauthorized connection”. Have to delve deep into that.

So the fine points are

1. To Connect thru Opera for WAP Access using Airtel ( “The” browser for mobile esp S60 phones)

sms NOPACT to 511 —> You get activated for Wap

sms NOP to 501 —> Get the settings thru sms & save it

sms NOPDEACT to 511 —-> To deactivate Wap access.

The counting for billing starts from 12.01 midnight. As far as charges are concerned – The billing is effective 24 hrs from the time you enroll, the amount is deducted at 12 midnight.Rs.5/day for WAP & Rs.12/day for GPRS.

2. To Connect for Agile, Mundu Speak, Spokn, Skype for Pocket PC

sms GPRSACT to 511 —-> Activate

sms MO to 501 —–> Settings

sms GPRSDEACT to 511 —> To deactivate

Skype Mobile will work only in 3G / Wi-Fi supported phones. Spokn is in Beta and will work only in Win Mobile. Mundu Speak is fine on Symbian 60 and above but the phones they support is minimal.
